Ex-governor to lead UNC investigation


Yielding to calls for a deeper and independent investigation, University of North Carolina Chancellor Holden Thorp has asked former Gov. Jim Martin and a national management consulting firm to lead an external review of additional academic irregularities that might have occurred in the university’s Department of African and Afro-American Studies before 2007.
