Neil Armstrong, Other Astronauts Learned Star Navigation at UNC


A little more than a week ago, the world lost the first man to set foot on the moon, Neil Armstrong. But what many may not know is that his training at UNC’s Morehead Planetarium may have helped him get there. Director of Morehead Planetarium and Science Center Todd Boyette says 62 of the first 63 NASA astronauts came to UNC to learn celestial navigation. (Chapelboro.com)
