UNC AD: I want to increase athletic revenue by 40%

Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham wants to increase UNC’s athletic department revenue by more than 40 percent. Doing so would allow the university to compete more regularly at the highest level, he says. The Tar Heels operate on just more than $70 million for 28 sports (13 men’s and 15 women’s). While that’s a nice chunk of change, it’s less than other major universities.
