Carolina Golfer Martin Ureta Qualifies For U.S. Open


Martin Ureta, who just concluded his collegiate career as a Tar Heel, qualified for the 2007 U.S. Open Championship to be played June 14-17 at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa. Ureta, who tied for 22nd at last week's NCAA Championship, played in a U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md., on Monday. Sixty-five players participated with just five spots available. (Tar Heel Blue)
