Growing up in ACC country was a big deal

On cold winter nights back in the 1960s and 70s, one of the bright spots of television in the Carolinas and surrounding states was something no one else in the country was offered — ACC basketball. Long before ESPN and other cable outlets abounded, likely more college basketball games were watched in these parts than anywhere else on “regular” television in those days. (Shelby Star)
