Former UNC administrator, Chapel Hill mayor Jonathan Howes dies


Jonathan Howes, a former Chapel Hill mayor and UNC administrator, has passed away at age 78. Howes served multiple public service roles over the years, including a stint as secretary of the Department of Environment, Health and Natural Resources in the 1990s.
