Doeren not apologizing for Wolfpack’s soft nonconference schedule

Fox Sports recently ranked the strength of nonconference schedule for every college football team in a Power Five conference and determined that N.C. State’s was the nation’s softest. The Wolfpack opens the season at home against Troy and Eastern Kentucky, then goes on the road to play at Old Dominion and South Alabama. That’s not exactly a Murderer’s Row of opponents. But it’s also not a lineup for which State coach Dave Doeren feels the need to apologize about, either. (Wilmington Star News)
