UNC grad, former University of Michigan president Mary Sue Coleman appointed next AAU president


Carolina alumna Mary Sue Coleman has been appointed the new president of the Association of American Universities (AAU), effective June 1. Coleman, who retired as University of Michigan president in 2014 after serving for 12 years, received her Ph.D. in biochemistry from Carolina after completing her undergraduate education at Grinnell College.
