PG Derryck Thornton transferring from Duke

Duke has announced that freshman guard Derryck Thornton leave the basketball program and transfer to another school. The former five-star prospect reclassified to graduate high school a year early in order to help Krzyzewski and his team get through a manpower shortage. But with the arrival of Frank Jackson and the return of Grayson Allen, Matt Jones and Luke Kennard, Thornton apparently became expendable.
