Clemson's championship caps ACC's huge season

Clemson’s thrilling 35-31 victory over Alabama in the College Football Playoff championship game capped a magical season for the Atlantic Coast Conferences. The ACC, derided as one of the weakest of the major conferences during much of the BCS era, went 9-3 in bowl games this season to tie the record for bowl wins set last year by the Southeastern Conference.
