Georgia Dome comes crumbling down

The Georgia Dome came down in a ball of dust Monday morning. About 4,500 pounds of dynamite crumbled the concrete columns and more than 300 pounds of explosives collapsed the steel in the upper ring, bringing down an Atlanta institution. There were no immediate reports of damage to nearby structures as the home of the Falcons and other sports events over the past 25 years fell. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
