The National Women's Soccer League, the premier professional league for women's soccer in the United States, opened its fifth season his past weekend. The UNC women's soccer program was well represented as 14 former Tar Heels were on opening day rosters for the league this year. UNC was also represented by 14 players on opening day rosters in 2017.
