UNC Goalie Alex Bassil Named ACC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

He may have started the year as UNC’s fourth string goalie, but junior Alex Bassil, who started the Tar Heels’ last five games after injuries and other issues, was named the ACC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on Monday following a career-best performance on Saturday. Bassil made 14 saves in the Tar Heels’ 10-9 win over No. 14 Notre Dame. (Chapelboro.com)
