Lady Heels tumble out of NCAA lacrosse

For one half of Saturday's NCAA women's lacrosse quarterfinal at Northwestern, North Carolina looked nothing like the team that lost by nine goals on the same field last month. For the other half, the Tar Heels did. After trailing just 6-5 at halftime, the Tar Heels were crushed in an offensive onslaught by the Wildcats. Northwestern scored five goals in the opening 13 minutes, 17 seconds of the second half en route to a 17-6 victory. It completed a stretch of eight unanswered goals. (Raleigh News & Observer)
