With her statistics disproven and her experience called into question, Mary Willingham has no more support for her invectives against UNC. She has spoken of significant numbers of UNC athletes who read below a high school level, saying, “I can still see their faces.” Sadly, the faces Willingham sees are the products of a mind compromised by regret, disposed toward melodrama, and desperate for attention.
