McDonald's All American point guard Trent Perry commits to UCLA

Senior guard Trent Perry, a McDonald's All American and the highest-ranked uncommitted prospect in the 2024 class, has committed to UCLA. He's a 6-foot-4 player from North Hollywood who ranks No. 27 overall in the ESPN 100 and as the No. 5 point guard in the class. Perry had impressive performances in high-profile games during his senior season. (ESPN.com)

Georgia Tech hoops lands Colorado transfer Luke O'Brien

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets basketball added another key piece for the 2024-25 season with the commitment of guard/wing Luke O'Brien from Colorado via the transfer portal. O'Brien gives the Yellow Jackets length at the guard and wing spots and a knockdown three-point shooter that is needed for Damon Stoudamire's offense as it moves into year two. (Jackets Online)

2024 point guard Ben Hammond Commits To Virginia Tech

On Monday, Virginia Tech and Mike Young received a commitment from Ben Hammond, a point guard in the class of 2024. A 5-foot-11, 165-pound prospect from Fairfax, Va., Hammond previously signed with Rhode Island but reopened his recruitment on April 16. The 247Sports composite rankings list him as the 195th overall prospect in the 2024 class. (Tech Sideline)

Clemson men's basketball lands Duke transfer Christian Reeves

Clemson basketball landed its third transfer of the offseason, and this time, it's a former 4-star center out of Duke. Seven-foot-one center Christian Reeves announced a commitment to Clemson on Thursday. Reeves picked Clemson over Oklahoma, Florida and Vanderbilt. He joins Cincinnati's Viktor Lakhin (6-11 C) and BC's Jaeden Zackery (6-2 G) in the transfer class (TigerNet)

DePaul transfer Churchill Abass commits to Wake Forest

Wake Forest wasn’t done in transfer portal additions after just one on Saturday. A few hours after Ty-Laur Johnson’s announcement, Churchill Abass’ commitment to the Deacons was announced. Abass is a 6-9, 250-pound forward/center who played as a freshman at DePaul last season. He played in 30 of 32 games and averaged 3.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. (Deacons Illustrated)

Wake Forest basketball gets commitment from Louisville transfer guard Ty-Laur Johnson

Former Louisville guard Ty-Laur Johnson committed to coach Steve Forbes and Wake Forest on Saturday. The 6-foot freshman from Brooklyn, New York averaged 8.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game this season. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Johnson is a former 4-star recruit and was the No. 85 overall player in the 2023 class. (On3.com)

Duke basketball lands Tulane transfer guard Sion James

Former Tulane guard Sion James committed to Duke on Friday. The 6-foot-6 junior originally from Sugar Hill, Georgia averaged 14.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game this past season for the Green Wave. He shot 51.4% from the field and 38% from three. James becomes the third transfer to commit to the Blue Devils this offseason. (On3.com)

Duke transfer TJ Power commits to Virginia

Duke transfer committed to Virginia on Monday. Power was ranked as the No. 19 overall basketball recruit in the country in the class of 2023, per the On3 Industry rankings. The 6-foot-9 forward appeared in 29 games in 2023-24 for the Blue Devils. He averaged 2.1 points and 0.7 rebounds per game. Power also considered Virginia out of high school. (On3.com)

Kentucky transfer, UNC target Adou Thiero commits to Arkansas

Former Kentucky wing Adou Thiero committed to Arkansas on Monday afternoon. Thiero averaged 7.2 points and 5 rebounds per game in 2023-24. He shot 49 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free throw line. Thiero recently cut his list to five schools, including a potential return to Kentucky. He also considered Arkansas, Indiana, and North Carolina. (On3.com)

All-ACC forward Norchad Omier transferring from Miami to Baylor

Miami transfer Norchad Omier, the best frontcourt player available in the transfer portal, committed to Baylor on Sunday. A 6-foot-7 native of Nicaragua, Omier was a two-time All-ACC selection before entering the transfer portal. He has averaged a double-double each of his four college seasons, registering 17 points and 10 rebounds per game last season. (ESPN.com)
