Kentucky transfer, UNC target Adou Thiero commits to Arkansas

Former Kentucky wing Adou Thiero committed to Arkansas on Monday afternoon. Thiero averaged 7.2 points and 5 rebounds per game in 2023-24. He shot 49 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free throw line. Thiero recently cut his list to five schools, including a potential return to Kentucky. He also considered Arkansas, Indiana, and North Carolina. (On3.com)

All-ACC forward Norchad Omier transferring from Miami to Baylor

Miami transfer Norchad Omier, the best frontcourt player available in the transfer portal, committed to Baylor on Sunday. A 6-foot-7 native of Nicaragua, Omier was a two-time All-ACC selection before entering the transfer portal. He has averaged a double-double each of his four college seasons, registering 17 points and 10 rebounds per game last season. (ESPN.com)

Virginia Lands Florida State Point Guard Jalen Warley

Virginia finally landed its first player from the transfer portal on Saturday when Florida State point guard announced he had committed to Tony Bennett’s program. The 6-foot-7, 205-pound guard brings exactly what Bennett was looking for in a point guard - size, a feel for the game, a good basketball IQ and versatility on both ends of the floor. Unveiling the final 2024 On3 150 basketball recruiting rankings

Monday’s release of the final On3 150 ranking in the 2024 recruiting cycle saw Duke signee hold on to the No. 1 spot. The initial 2024 ranking, in April of 2022 debuted three five stars. Texas signee and North Carolina Tar Heels signee each went from start to finish in this class, earning five stars in each of the ten updates. (On3.com)

Duke transfer forward Sean Stewart commits to Ohio State

Former Duke forward committed to coach Jake Diebler and Ohio State on Friday. The 6-foot-9 freshman from Windermere, Florida averaged 2.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 8.4 minutes per game. Stewart entered the transfer portal last month after just one season in Durham. Stewart is a former McDonald’s All-American and 5-star recruit. (On3.com)

Top-50 senior Somto Cyril, former Kentucky signee, commits to Georgia

Somto Cyril, a four-star center out of Overtime Elite in the 2024 class, has committed to Georgia. Cyril was officially released from his National Letter of Intent to Kentucky following the departure of former Wildcats head coach John Calipari to Arkansas. Cyril is the nation’s No. 46 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking. (On3.com)

2024 four-star Kansas decommit Labaron Philon commits to Alabama

Labaron Philon, the No. 32 overall recruit in the 2024 class and recent Kansas decommit, has committed to Alabama. Alabama and Philon make for a great pairing with his ability to get up and down the court, score, create for others and be an impactful defender. Philon thrives playing on instincts and in Nate Oats' offense, Philon should grow into having a big role. (247 Sports)

Former Wake Forest guard Kevin “Boopie” Miller transferring to SMU

New SMU men’s basketball head coach Andy Enfield is back to work reshaping the roster for the 2024-25 season. This time, he’s added six-foot guard Kevin "Boopie" Miller from Wake Forest. The rising redshirt junior averaged 15.6 points per game last season, the second most on the Demon Deacons. Perhaps most crucially, Miller brings a year of experience in the ACC. Miami lands one of nation's top scorers as Stetson G Jalen Blackmon commits to the Hurricanes

It has been a busy offseason for the Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball program, and Sunday afternoon Canes head coach Jim Larrañaga and his staff landed their third transfer portal commitment as former Stetson guard Jalen Blackmon announced his pledge to Miami.
