Indiana Fever select La'Tangela Atkinson in first round of WNBA draft

The Indiana Fever selected La'Tangela Atkinson, a versatile player who helped North Carolina to the top ranking in women's college basketball this past season, as their top pick in Wednesday's WNBA draft. The 6-foot-2 Atkinson, who averaged 9.2 points per game in four years for the Tar Heels, adds youth to a Fever team which has had major revisions during the offseason.
