Terry Sanford High School pitcher Davidjohn Herz signs with UNC Baseball


pitcher Davidjohn Herz signed with UNC on Wednesday. Herz, the Bulldogs’ left-handed ace, was named the region’s top baseball player at the Observer’s Best of 910Preps banquet in June. He pitched 65 2/3 innings for the Bulldogs, striking out 105 batters and tallying a 0.53 ERA. He had six games with 10 strikeouts or more, including 17 against Cape Fear. (Fayetteville Observer)
