No. 9 North Carolina rallied from a seven-run deficit to tie the game against Georgia Tech on Saturday, but the Tar Heels fell just short as the Yellow Jackets won 11-10 (Highlights). UNC scored eight runs in the final three innings to tie the game at 10 in the ninth inning, but Georgia Tech's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame dashed the Tar Heel hopes.
