UNC-Duke women to play in cozy Carmichael instead of Smith Center

Sylvia Hatchell wishes the game were being played in the Smith Center. Duke's players are happy it's right where it is. After North Carolina hosted the Blue Devils in the Smith Center the last two years, UNC's players decided before the season started to move today's 2 p.m. game to their usual home, Carmichael Auditorium. They craved the delirious atmosphere that cozy Carmichael provides and had tired of the somewhat sterile feel of a half-filled Smith Center.
