Austin Bergner Drafted By Detroit Tigers In 9th Round Of MLB Draft

North Carolina junior Austin Bergner was selected on the second day of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft by the Detroit Tigers. The right-handed pitcher was taken in the 9th round with the 262nd pick overall. He is the third Tar Heel to be selected in this year's MLB Draft, joining teammates Michael Busch and Tyler Baum who were selected on day one.
