Austin Love didn't pitch a game for UNC last season as he redshirted. And when postseason arrived and North Carolina's roster needed to be trimmed, Love left for Baltimore, where he spent the summer playing for the Baltimore Redbirds of the Cal Ripken League. The day of his first game with the Redbirds, UNC advanced to the College World Series.
