UNC women fall to Maryland in thriller 98-95

Maryland upset North Carolina with a gritty comeback in the second half and a defiant overtime in which North Carolina almost sent the game to a second extra period. But Ivory Latta's 3-pointer at the buzzer was well short and No. 6 Maryland beat No. 1 North Carolina 98-95 at Carmichael Auditorium last night. (Winston-Salem Journal)
