Tar Heels Win Big In Banghart's First Game on the Bench

With four starters in double figures, the UNC women's basketball team opened the season with a win Thursday, beating Western Carolina 92-55 at Carmichael Arena (Highlights). Janelle Bailey led the Tar Heels with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Malu Tshitenge scored 19 in her UNC debut. Taylor Koenen and Shayla Bennett each scored 17.
