Boston Red Sox keep Trevor Kelley on 40-man roster

The Boston Red Sox have kept Ashley High School and UNC alum on the team’s 40-man roster. The move protects Kelley from next month’s Rule 5 draft to make it so other teams can’t select him. Last season Kelley was 0-3 with an 8.64 ERA in 10 appearances for the Red Sox. The Red Sox kept 23 pitchers including Kelley on the 40-man. (WECT)
