Danny Talbott played three sports on UNC freshman teams in 1963-64 and then gave up basketball because he didn't think he could play professionally. Talbott led the ACC with 1,477 yards of offense and was named ACC player of the year in 1965. Talbott made first-team All-ACC three years running in baseball, and led UNC to the 1966 College World Series.
