Joey Lancellotti Hits, Pitches UNC Baseball To Opening-Day Win

Righthander Joey Lancellotti struck out five in 5 1/3 innings and added two hits and two RBI. Freshman catcher Eric Grintz had a pair of two-run doubles in his college debut to lead UNC to a 15-3 win over Middle Tennessee Friday at Boshamer Stadium (Highlights). The game was the first of the season for both teams. The series resumes Saturday at 2 p.m.
