For Trent Thornton to take the next step in 2020, beats per minute will be as important as miles per hour. The young right-hander flashed plenty of potential in 2019, becoming the unexpected leader in starts and innings pitched for the Blue Jays, but found himself back in a competition this spring and summer after three veteran starters were brought in.
