Playing in the highly competitive Atlantic Coast Conference requires maximum effort and focus for athletes and coaches. It's a mental learning process that has been ongoing for the North Carolina women's basketball team of late, and was evident in the Heels' pair of losses on the road this past week – 79-68 at No. 1 Louisville and 73-69 at Virginia Tech.
