Justice Thompson gave North Carolina (14-10) the go-ahead run in the ninth inning with an RBI single to left field to knock off No. 18 Florida State (13-9) 4-3 in game one at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee (Highlights). Thompson proved clutch on Friday evening, as he recorded the game-winning RBI after striking out in his first four plate appearances.
