Gage Gillian shined out of the bullpen for the Tar Heels on Saturday as North Carolina (14-11) fell 4-2 to No. 18 Florida State (14-9) in Tallahassee. Gillian ended with 4.2 innings pitched, two hits, zero runs, seven strikeouts, and no walks. He set a career-high in innings pitched and strikeouts. UNC was led by Tomas Frick (2-for-5) at the plate.
