Alex White said he has tried to put last year's frustrating NCAA performances behind him. Thanks to the Tar Heels' 5-1 victory over UNC-Wilmington in the Cary Regional on Saturday night, he officially can. A year after allowing 27 hits and 24 runs in four NCAA starts, the ACC Pitcher of the Year picked up his first NCAA win by striking out eight, walking one and allowing only one run on three hits in a career-high nine innings.
