Pirates catcher Jacob Stallings considered midseason favorite for the NL Gold Glove

Jacob Stallings has been encouraged by the defensive season he’s produced thus far. He also happened to notice the recently released SABR Defensive Index rankings, which essentially serve as a midterm grade for Gold Glove competition. “Obviously defense is something I take a lot of pride in. I would like to be there at the end of the season, too,” he said.
