Maybin rivals McCants for attention

Outfielder Cameron Maybin of Asheville Roberson High was the first player with North Carolina ties to be selected Tuesday in the MLB draft. Maybin has plenty of star potential -- he is a cousin of former UNC basketball star Rashad McCants, and he often is compared to Cincinnati Reds outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. (Durham Herald-Sun)
