Young UNC women no pushover in Sweet 16 loss to top-ranked South Carolina


Two teams on entirely different timelines met in the NCAA women’s basketball tournament Sweet 16 on Friday. Their paths converged in Greensboro Coliseum in an all-Carolina contest of established championship chasers against upset-minded up-and-comers. The Tar Heels once again outplayed expectations, but ultimately came up short, 69-61. (Gaston Gazette)
