UNC Softball Opens Carolina Classic With 4-3 Win Over Purdue


The UNC softball team grinded out a 4-3 win over Purdue on Friday in the opening game of the Carolina Classic (Highlights). All four of Carolina's runs were batted in by home runs, with Kiersten Licea hitting a three-run shot and Kianna Jones hitting a solo home run. Jones and Destiny Middleton led the Tar Heels at the plate, each recording a pair of hits. (GoHeels.com)
