With a 6-0 win in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, North Carolina avoided a sweep against Virginia and improved as a team. Aside from Max Carlson's struggles in the opener, the Tar Heels' pitching staff proved capable of handling a potent Cavaliers lineup.
