Posted May 30, 2023
The Tar Heels (35-22) received the third seed for the regional, a designation that didn’t align with what had been expected by most college baseball analysts, and will meet second-seeded Iowa (42-14) in the double-elimination format at 7 p.m. Friday in Terre Haute, Ind.. The Hawkeyes earned an at-large selection after finishing third in the Big Ten.
