Maria Gakdeng brings shot-blocking, low post game to UNC women's basketball

Maria Gakdeng, a transfer from Boston College, is looking to fill a gap in the UNC women's basketball roster — an inside threat who can help the team reach its Final Four aspirations. Ranking third in blocked shots in the ACC last season, the 6-foot-3 Maryland native provides North Carolina with a two-way player who can combat physicality in the paint. (Daily Tar Heel)
