The No. 24 UNC women's basketball team led No. 1 South Carolina by as many as 11 points in the first half, forcing the Gamecocks out of their rhythm. It was unable to maintain that advantage in the second half, falling 65-58. South Carolina had mixed feelings about the win. The Tar Heels are disappointed by the outcome but pleased with the outing.
