After two, tough-luck losses against North Carolina State Thursday and Friday, the North Carolina baseball team finally downed its longtime rival in major fashion Saturday, winning 14-3 behind a much-improved pitching performance and the deadly offense. The greatest offensive storyline, as is usually the case, was star center fielder Vance Honeycutt.
