UNC center fielder Vance Honeycutt lined the first pitch he saw for a double down the left-field line and also launched a 425-foot grand slam over the center-field wall, all in the eight-run first inning. That was more than enough for right-hander Cameron Padgett, who pitched a career-high 5+ innings in No. 12 North Carolina’s 13-1 victory over Charlotte.
