North Carolina departed Tuesday from Boshamer Stadium, before boarding a charter flight to the place that has served as a beacon across the breadth of this college baseball season. Since August, when the Tar Heels assembled for their first official team meeting with coach Scott Forbes, the College World Series in Omaha, Neb. has been the destination. (Inside Carolina)
