Scott Forbes is the 25th coach in program history and is entering his fourth season with the Tar Heels. Though this is the team’s first College World Series appearance under Forbes, he has led UNC to four consecutive NCAA tournaments and also a 2022 ACC championship. Outfielder Casey Cook leads the Tar Heels with a batting average of .345 and 86 hits. (Knoxville News Sentinel)
