His name is befitting of a soap opera star -- Vance Honeycutt -- and upon his arrival into this world, his father exclaimed, "He's here." Son of a former Tar Heel baseball player and a UNC middle-distance runner, Honeycutt quarterbacked his high school football team in Salisbury, North Carolina.
