Casey Cook Selected By Texas Rangers In 3rd Round Of MLB Draft

UNC outfielder Casey Cook's extensive hit list included punishing professional-caliber pitching for the Tar Heels this past season. On Monday, the lefty-swinging Cook, who earned the reputation as the Tar Heels' best pure hitter from coach Scott Forbes, was selected by the Texas Rangers in the third round of the MLB Draft with the No. 103 overall pick.
