Casey Cook signs with Texas Rangers

Former UNC outfielder Casey Cook, who was selected by the Texas Rangers in the third round of the 2024 MLB Draft, has agreed to terms on his first professional contract. Cook signed for $700K, which is approximately $10K under the draft slot value. This past season, Cook earned First-Team All-ACC honors and led the Tar Heels in hits (88) and RBI (78).
