Vance Honeycutt has outstanding pro debut as former UNC teammates face off in Kinston

In a battle of former UNC outfielders in Kinston on Thursday, Vance Honeycutt reached base three times in his minor-league debut and got his first professional hit. Honeycutt, who went 1 for 3, walked in the first and eighth innings and singled in the fifth. After the eighth-inning walk, he stole second base and third base before scoring on a throwing error.
