Sylvia Hatchell's career has its roots in S.C.
Posted Dec 20, 2008
The North Carolina women's basketball team arrived in South Carolina this week for its annual trip to Myrtle Beach, one of coach Sylvia Hatchell's favorite home-away-from-home destinations. Today, the Heels (11-0) face Illinois (4-6) at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, returning to play a game there for the 15th consecutive year. It's a state Hatchell holds dear, considering she started her coaching career there at Francis Marion College in 1975.
